Get the Lead Out! is the 24th chapter of Yamada-kun to Nananin no Majo.

Synopsis

It’s just before Summer Break, but Yamada’s depressed because his grades are terrible. He decides to switch with Shiraishi and have her take the make-up exams for him. Ushio comes along and tells him that that’s a surprising way to use the powers. Yamada gets angry, but Ushio had come toward Yamada for a different reason and leads him to the Old Supernatural Studies Clubroom. Ushio reveals a worn out notebook, titled “Concerning the Seven Mysteries of Suzuka High Volume 1”. Ushio explains that since the Old School building is going to be demolished during summer, Ushio had organized things in the clubroom and found the notebook. Yamada flips through it, and to his disappointment, most of the “Seven Mysteries” were common folktales of schools. However, one catches Yamada’s attention and it’s titled, “Witch Legend”. In Suzuka High, there exsited students who were called “Witches”. The “Witches” each possess a unique power. As Yamada continued reading on, he realizes that there were people from long time ago that possessed mysterious powers in the school. Yamada revels at how amazing the book is. Yamada continues reading on about the two types of power. The two mentioned are the capture ability and the Power of Though, but the rest are on Volume 2. Yamada asks for Volume 2, but Ushio claims he doesn’t have it and there weren’t any in the room. Ushio had called him over to see if the Supernatural Studies Room had Volume 2. They conclude that the Capture Ability is Odagiri’s power. Ushio assumes that the abilities are inherited through to those within the school and consider Shiraishi’s swapping power as a Witch’s power. There are still more witches within the school, as deduced from the Power of Thought ability. Ushio suggests to Yamada that they keep the book confidential.

However, Yamada tells his club about it and Yamada tells them to keep quiet, much to their disappointment. Ito exclaims at how it’s an unbelievable fact, Miyamura contemplates about the Power of Thought, and Shiraishi is surprised that there are other witches beside her and Odagiri. Yamada tells them to take extra precaution until they can confirm about the other witches. Yamada decides to just go home, much to Ito’s shock. Ito suggests to Yamada to go find the witches. Yamada still wants to go home, but Ito states that they need their “Witch Detecting Device”, who is Yamada. Ito suggests to Yamada that he kiss every student within the school randomly, and Miyamura agrees. When Yamada suggests Shiraishi also do it, Ito doesn’t want her to do it, and Shiraishi also doesn’t want to do it. Miyamura compares Yamada with the other witches and decide that he’s a joker.

Yamada disagrees, and still doesn’t want to find the witches because he’s satisfied the way things are. Shiraishi stands up and tells Yamada that he’s changed hers and probably Odagiri’s world completely. Shiraishi tells him that the Witches are all looking for him, stating that she was also one of them. Ito and Miyamura taunts him, and Yamada gives in. Yamada still doesn’t want to kiss random people though, so Shiraishi suggest they find the second book. Miyamura tells them that there is another Supernatural Research Clubroom. Miyamura tells himself that it’s perfect, since its summer break and its close to the beach. Yamada asks him where it is, and Miyamura answers the School’s Clubhouse.
